Safety First

Safety is of the up most importance here at Astro Travel. The following graph shows our company in blue and the national average in purple. The lower the score in each category, the higher your safety rating. We truly feel this rating displays Astro's commitment to passenger safety and should assure you that once aboard an Astro Motorcoach, you can sit back, relax and simply enjoy the ride.

SEA values range between 0 (best) and 100 (worst) and are calculated for carriers with sufficient data related to each SEA. Our company has sufficient data and scored 7% on Driver and 0% in the Vehicle evaluation areas, a nearly perfect score!

The national average SEA value is 27% for Driver, 23% for Vehicle, and 28% for Safety Management. What does that mean? It means that upon inspection, almost 1/4 of the drivers and vehicles in the United States did not pass inspection and more than a quarter failed in their Safety Management program. You can see why here at Astro we are very proud of our driver safety record when compared to the rest of the motorcoach industry.

Unfortunately, accident scores (ACSEA) are not currently provided by the FMCSA on any passenger carrier because the scores rely on State-provided crash reports, which are sometimes not of the highest data quality based on timeliness, completeness and accuracy. As soon as such scores are available, we will provide it on this site.
